It is necessary to note, that Ivano-Frankivsk (Stanislav) has appeared among cities, where the festival only due to existing here "artistic" environment named "Stanislav's phenomenon" was carried out. Such definition or, easier speaking, name concerns, first of all, modern visual art, the main founders and creators are Аnatoly Zvizhynsky, Rostyslav Koterlin, Yaroslav Yanovsky, Мyroslav Yaremak, Volodymyr Mulyk, Igor Pereklita and Vesela Naydenova.
Curator of the project "Tender terrorism" is Аnatoly Zvizhynsky. The action which was taking place within the framework of a festival "The Cultural Hero" on February 22-24, 2002, has united in itself 5 projects (performance, video, photo, painting and installation).
"Tender terrorism" - the unique action from frankivsk "heroic program", left a trace even after the end of festival boom due to its provocativity. The project of Аnatoly Zvizhynsky for the first time was submitted in 1996 on 4-th International Biennale "Spatia Nova" in St.-Petersburg (Russia). Having kept idea and name, the current exposition represents completely new and fresh creative searches of the different authors. The curator of the project actually managed to collect under the concept of the brightest representatives modern "Stanislav-art" and to become their leader.
The presentation of exposition was under threat of failure, as the director of Art museum, in which the action should be held, has become "the real cultural hero", having forbidden realization of a press conference and exhibition, considering inadmissible for walls of Catholic church, in which nowadays there is an Art museum. Day prior to opening a festival the question of realization of exhibition has solved through regional advice. The necessity of realization of the action consist in a building of Catholic church in specificity of sounding and perception of provocativity of this project.
The action "Tender terrorism" began of the second festival day of presentation of the project "Art − dangerous weapon" by Yaroslav Yanovsky and Vesela Naydenova. The project consists of two blocks: photoinstallation and performance "Sacrifice2". Most authentic in sense of interaction with the spectators is the alive action of performator, making indelible impression on present. Thus there is an experience by the artist catarsis, that makes creator vulnerable for external influence, in what danger is held.. A voltage of interaction and the empathies strengthen that special condition at the moment of performance, by it is excluded artificial. It would seem, in such situation it is easier to remain in a role criticism and to estimate actions of creators. But, in our case, the artists should become universal, being actors and, simultaneously, commentators of the actions. As we do not have professional critics capable on impartial and objective estimations of modern art products and the actions, especially, if speech goes both about "drive", and about charisma of creator and his creativity. Probably, the understanding, recognition and interpretation all "of tender terrorism" simply requires too much of the expert who has got used to superficial "international" arts.
In this case it would be desirable to quote Christopher Phillips − art-critic of magazine "Art in America":"The present problem is new "provincialism" in thinking of the majority from occupying "the centres" of the recent past. Each day I meet with persuasive "New York provincialism", which simply can not to itself present, that the most authentic art today is making far from Маnhatten". After such reasoning any more does not surprise perception as "alien body" of the project " Tender terrorism", which really has appeared too "tender" and even beautiful "аrt-terrorism". Of it all were convinced of the third festival day directly on presentation of the action in Art museum, where it was necessary to become the witness of final "travel" and ignorance not only separately taken spectators, but also experts - art-critics, representatives of medias and members of official Union of the artists, which looked too confused that occured in a hall. Аnatolyj Zvizhynskyj has convinced all that: "In Ukraine for a long time already was eager to apply this weapon − "The tender terrorism ", is similar to what was offered to "snobbishness" petersburg public − terrorism alternative, tender, even gentle, ironic and kind". By this plan the curator of the project has made to possible existence in one space Galician icons of XVII-XIX centuries (permanent exposition of Museum) and newest products of modern Stanislav artists. It is carried out some kind of the act of secularization in creativity of creators.
All spectators, having crowded around of the TV set which has been set up on a museum grand piano. Could in the meantime see the video-projects of Oleg Gnativ, Taras Prokhasko, Edward Skrypnyk. For occurring in a hall it was convenient to observe, were on choruses, where the separate atmosphere of "tender terrorism", created by Igor Pereklita. The spontaneity, manner, unique, peculiar to this author, at once took possession of attention of the spectator impressing surprisingly perfect and, at the same time, naive paintings.
In common museum space the atmosphere of each separate world submitted by the different authors reigned which interaction also was original "terrorism". Unexpectedness for the unprepared spectators became representation of the photoprojects by Yaroslav Yamovsky and together with Vesela Naydenova − "The Constitution Day". Was to see reaction by correspondent of one of the local newspapers enough, which, being ignorant Galician "pseudo conservative", at once has defined them as "pornography", having forgotten thus, that a temple was profaned even earlier, having thrown out from it the ashes of family the column Pototski.
Having lowered in крипту, spectator as if got in a cool of the historical past. Here, in burial vault Pototski, Rostyslav Koterlin has presented installation, photo and painting. The presence in crypt in itself caused strange feeling of invisible presence "of historical spirit". The author of installation managed to reproduce an atmosphere of burial by blinking of candles in empty stone coffins …
Rostyslav's Koterlin paintings caused associations and memoirs on children's gardens, where all boys appeared as "rabbits" in a severe wolf community.
Beeing in a small exhibition hall, the unprepared spectators too could become puzzled. Videofixing the action of Oleksa Furdiyak "Transsylvanian dog", embodied by Oleg Gnativ here was demonstrated. In an interesting situation there was a mayor including in a hall exactly at that moment, when on the screen the episode representing "process of urination of Anatoly Zvizhynsky" was demonstrated. Having seen such, the confused mayor began attentively to examine painting of Volodymyr Mulyk and Rostyslav Koterlin, submitted in the same hall. Volodymyr Mulyk has created the original world occupied by bright fantastic essences.
The exposition existed all some hours, then at the presence of the spectators it dismantled. The action continued to exist in myths, responses and criticism even for those who was not at an exhibition. The action has managed! Now it is possible to ascertain: the beginning of century was finished by thorough formation and becoming "Stanislav phenomenon".
